A deliberately narrow inclusion rule
A record enters this index only when the exact former path appears in the public archive inventory and a separate podcast directory corroborates the episode number, display title, and publication date. The index keeps only those identifying facts. It does not import a synopsis, quotation, guest biography, recording, transcript, image, or download location.
The old path receives a noindex metadata bridge rather than a redirect. The bridge explains that the original resource is not restored, names the minimal public record, links here, and repeats the non-affiliation statement. It is self-canonical so that the URL is not silently represented as another page, but it stays out of the 15-page canonical sitemap.
Every unmatched `/podcast/*` path defaults to 410. This does not claim that other former episodes never existed. It says that this package will not create an apparently complete archive from partial metadata. A later addition would require the same two-source check plus an explicit rights and editorial review.

The prepared bridge preserves that number, title, date, and evidence references only. Decision Fieldbook does not summarize the discussion, identify an argument, recommend a list, or imply participation by anyone associated with the recording. The title is presented as catalog metadata, not as new editorial guidance.
Because the live game and terminology have changed since 2018, the record should not be treated as current strategy even if a copy of the audio exists elsewhere. Current readers should use the original learning library and verify any live-game claim against a dated current source.
The historical URL spelling is preserved only as a route key.
With Daring Alkaline
The former path `/podcast/2018/9/5/episode-188-with-daring-alaline` appears in the archive inventory. The path contains a spelling variant. A Podchaser directory record identifies episode 188 with the display title Episode 188: With Daring Alkaline and a publication date of September 5, 2018.
The route key remains exact because changing an old path would create a different address. The visible record follows the corroborating directory title while making no further claim about the named person. There is no biography, quotation, endorsement, current-status statement, or reconstructed episode description.
The bridge points to this section so a reader can see why the path exists and what evidence supports it. It does not redirect to the homepage, where the old intent would be lost and the domain transition could be mistaken for continuity.
A catalog label is not a recommendation or restored show note.
Pirate Rogue
The former path `/podcast/2018/12/19/episode-203` appears in the archive inventory. A Podchaser directory record identifies episode 203 with the display title Episode 203: Pirate Rogue and a publication date of December 19, 2018.
Only the episode number, title, date, path, and source identifiers are retained. The index does not explain the deck, restate an episode argument, or suggest that the 2018 subject remains strategically current. The word Hearthstone appears in the surrounding historical context, not as an official endorsement of the record.
If either corroborating source becomes unavailable, the bridge should be reviewed. If the minimum facts can no longer be supported, the safe fallback is 410. Preserving a path is secondary to keeping the historical statement accurate and rights-aware.
Completeness is not inferred from a numbered series.
Why the index stops here
Directory records indicate a much larger catalog, and the archive inventory contains many former podcast paths. This package does not generate missing records from episode numbers, slug patterns, search snippets, or memories. Those methods could assign the wrong title, date, participant, or subject to a live URL.
The retired feed is assigned 410 rather than replaced with an empty or unrelated feed. Former community and commercial surfaces are also 410. They are not episode metadata and raise separate questions involving personal data, recognition, or obligations that this historical index cannot safely answer.
A bounded index tells the truth about its method. It preserves enough context to prevent confusion while declining to impersonate an archive. The sources page lists every record used and explains how a correction can narrow or remove an entry.
