Two identities, one address over time

Public archive and podcast-directory records show that hearthcoach.net formerly supported a show catalogued as HearthCoach: Hearthstone Coaching. Those records describe a coaching-oriented Hearthstone podcast associated with the names Dan and FRID. They do not establish that any former host, guest, contributor, listener, or operator participates in Decision Fieldbook.

Decision Fieldbook is an original editorial library built around a five-stage study method. Its copy, structure, visual system, and teaching material were created for this package. It is not a revival, successor season, fan mirror, or official archive of the former show. The old name appears only where it is necessary to describe public history and distinguish the projects.

The distinction is repeated because old search results and links can outlive their context. A reader arriving from a former episode path should receive a direct explanation, not a silent transfer of trust. No old URL redirects to the new homepage merely because it once carried attention.

What the public record supports

The Internet Archive inventory contains former hearthcoach.net URLs reaching back to resource material in December 2014. Public podcast directories place the show in early 2015 and identify a catalog that continued through episode 260, dated February 23, 2020. Archive captures also show that the site contained podcast, resource, community-recognition, identity-exchange, and store paths at different times.

Those records support a bounded description: the former domain served a Hearthstone coaching podcast and related community surfaces across several years. They do not give this project rights to the original audio, episode copy, design, artwork, mailing data, store obligations, or community records. A URL inventory can show that a path existed without showing every version or proving the accuracy of every old claim.

The current historical index therefore uses catalog-level facts and archived path evidence. It does not reconstruct a chronological biography of the hosts, infer private ownership changes, or repeat third-party descriptions as if they were first-party statements. Where directories disagree or a record is incomplete, the narrower supported fact wins.

• December 2014: archived resource-path evidence begins the visible preparation window.
• Early 2015: public directories place the podcast launch period.
• February 23, 2020: directories identify episode 260 as the terminal catalog entry.
• Later archive captures may preserve shells or URLs, but do not extend the supported editorial run by themselves.

How old URLs are treated

Three episode paths are corroborated by both the archive inventory and a public episode directory. The local package prepares a minimal noindex metadata bridge for each. A bridge names the public catalog record, gives its date, explains that no media or original text is reproduced, and links to the bounded episode index. It does not imitate a show note or claim a relationship with the named people.

The former podcast feed is retired and assigned 410. Unmatched episode paths also default to 410. Former community recognition, player-exchange, store, and unpaired resource paths are not rebuilt. These surfaces present privacy, identity, entitlement, or equivalence questions that a domain transition cannot answer safely.

A 410 response tells a reader and crawler that a resource is intentionally gone. It is more truthful than redirecting every old address to a new page that does not satisfy the old intent. A future route may change only after a public evidence review and an explicit rights and privacy decision.

A separate research name collision

A 2017 conference paper used the title HearthCoach for a Hearthstone coaching system. Its bibliographic record is included in the source register solely to prevent conflation. This historical index does not claim that the research project and the former podcast were the same organization, shared authors, or had any operational connection.

The same caution applies to Blizzard Entertainment. Hearthstone is the subject of the study library, but Decision Fieldbook is not an official product and does not use Blizzard artwork, logos, interface shapes, or an official tone. Trademark references are descriptive and accompanied by a direct non-affiliation statement.

If better evidence becomes public, the sources policy explains how to narrow or correct this record. The purpose of the history section is not to occupy every ambiguity. It is to show exactly where the new work begins and where the available evidence stops.
